About UsAbout Us

Founded in September 2006, Craft-ED’s vision and passion to make a meaningful contribution to all children’s lives and their extended family is reflected in the innovative educational products we create and sell.

Our products are designed and chosen to ensure that each learner understands the concepts and key elements of what they are being taught, through practical and creative application.

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and l learn"

(Benjamin Franklin)

Our methodology cements participation and involvement, creating increased self-esteem and excitement from the child and their teacher. Our activities are fun to deliver and teachers can identify whether each pupil has grasped the key outcomes by observing them completing their practical work.

Quality education from Craft-ED

Raising the standards of education is high on the agenda for many Governments across the globe. Every activity guide and product that Craft-ED creates is based on this ideal. Learning is influenced by many factors including teacher and learner ability, resources, facilities and infrastructure.  Craft-ED activity guides are all written by qualified teachers and include suggestions for adapting the activity to suit the needs of individual learners, a clear activity structure and a list of the resources needed to deliver the activity.

Supporting global and Government-backed Initiatives

Many Government offices have joint programmes running between private and public bodies in a united endeavour to overcome issues within education.  Craft-ED has several ways in which we support these efforts and indeed link these partnerships together.  These range from our ‘Adopt-A-School’ scheme to the inclusion of relevant aspects of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, Every Child Matters Framework, Foundations for learning campaigns and UNESCO Education for All goals in our products.

Determined to make a difference

Karen Ogilvie and family"The Craft-ED team and I are determined to make a positive and meaningful difference to as many children’s lives as possible. Our concept is being widely accepted in schools across the globe and, importantly, is loved by children and communities.  The impact in the classrooms and the difference we are making to the teachers lives is phenomenal.  The change from a boring lesson to an exciting one in a few simple steps is what we are brilliant at.  It is the difference between learning because a child has to and learning because a child wants to.  It is this difference which will be remembered forever and it is this difference that makes us proud, please join us for the journey."
