Adopt-a-School

The Craft-ED Adopt-a-School scheme is a reflection of ‘Learning in Partnership’ between private and public sector bodies to deliver universal education. 

Adopt-a-School sees corporate companies through their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy, sponsoring schools to enhance education.  This provides schools with the resources they need to assist them in creatively delivering the curriculum and raising standards of education within those schools and indeed their surrounding communities.

Adopt-a-School benefits sponsor companies by:

•   raising the profile of the company within the community to reflect themselves as a company that cares
•   improving the perception of the company by its staff
•   offering its staff the opportunity to volunteer and share their expertise
•   building customer loyalty by being seen as a company placing importance on ethical values

Adopt-a-School benefits schools by:

•   providing a teaching resource to assist with raising standards and levels of attainment, through creativity
•   providing training of how to effectively use the teaching resources to achieve maximum results
•   promoting a working partnership with a sponsor
•   motivating teachers
•   motivating pupils and their extended families
•   increasing personalisation, innovation, imagination, collaboration and fun in the classroom across all subject areas
